| Although
the Waltham Family Literacy Coalition's Children's
Book Drive amazingly raised over 2500 books for
Waltham literacy providers for the fifth year in
a row, the shining accomplishment of the Family
Literacy Coalition continues to be the Waltham Family
School, Waltham's Even Start Family Literacy Program.
After only 2.5 years of serving families most in
need of services, the Watham Family School ended
the year as 1) the largest Even Start program in
Massachusetts and 2) the program with the best average
daily attendance! With the Waltham Public Schools
as the fiscal agent, the Waltham Family School has
increased capacity for its other collaborators:
Breaking Barriers, the Parent Child Home Program,
the Power Program, and Waltham Creative Start. |
